CCTV

CCTV plays a huge part in the successful conviction of criminals for crimes such as vandalism and theft, and can provide crucial evidence in a court of law. This in turn can also assist with asset recovery, making CCTV an additional security layer favoured by both the residential and commercial customer. Not only can CCTV protect your property against crime and anti-social behaviour, it has a valid use in safety observations such as in the workplace or in public areas where it can be monitored to ensure public safety. The sight of a camera in itself can act as a deterrent to crime, and dummy cameras can be installed alongside live ones to give the impression of a wider security blanket.

Frontline Automation/Frontline Fire & Security have embraced the trend in technology which has shown a shift from analogue to digital equipment. In particular, Internet Protocol (IP) networked equiment has become incresingly commonplace/popular as existing networks can be used, allowing the use of remote monitoring services but without the customer having to pay out for costly dedicated cabling. IP video systems are also extremely flexible as new cameras can be added to the system at any point, and live footage and recordings from the cameras can be viewed from anywhere on the network.

CCTV Cameras

CCTV can be an extremely cost effective security solution, and at Frontline Fire & Security, we will design a tailor made system which is suited to both your security requirements and your budget. We pride ourselves in providing/installing only the highest quality equipment - This not only results in increased customer satisfaction but also equates to a more reliable system, and usually one which will stand the test of time for a little longer amongst constantly changing technology.

Circuit Systems

There are a variety of cameras available, both for internal and external installation. Cameras are available in standard or domed housings, both of which act as an obvious deterrent. in some instances, and as long as certain protocol are followed, covert CCTV can be installed which allows the user to view incidents unobtrusively.

Depending on your requirements, some cameras have built-in Infrafed LED illuminaton for low light and night viewing. These cameras have the tehnology too switch from monochrome to colour as and when required.

Monitors and Recording

Monitors and Recording

Viewing live/recorded CCTV has changed a lot over the years, and depending on the system installed, you won't necessarily need a specific monitor if you would prefer not to. Many systems can be viewed over a specific web page or app, with the technology built in to change cameras, angle, zoom etc. For applications where a standard monitor is used, they are much like normal computer or TV screens in that they are available in various sizes to match their use and environment.

CCTV monitors are as standard, a flat LCD screen, and in some cases, if required, these monitors can also adopt touch screen technology.

CCTV monitors

Digital Video Recorders (DVR) are extremely popular, partiularly in applications where there are a large number of cameras. They have excellent alarm handling features including multiple alarm inputs, relay outputs and comprehensive event handling and logging. The DVR is used to store the recorded images and can be used as either a standalone system or linked to a network, providing the opportunity for remote viewing. All have an internal hard drive which can vary in size, and will be tailored to the system depending on how many cameras there are and the quality of picture required.

CCTV monitors

While some simpler CCTV installations can be managed via the DVR, larger systems with many cameras, DVR’s and monitors may require a central system to manage, distribute and view the many CCTV images.
