Swing gates also offer high security at vehicle entrances, and can be supplied as motorised or non-motorised, fully concealed underground hydraulic or gate back operators.

As with our sliding gates, all designs can include anti-climb devices (such as barbed-wire or spikes) to offer increased security.

Gates are standard constructed from fully welded mild steel frames, standard infill is a combination of 16mm and 20mm hollow section and twisted solid bar infill, which are fully welded within gate frame.  Gate Posts are constructed from rectangular hollow section mild steel, designed to be installed within brick/stone piers or as freestanding posts. To prevent corrosion the following process is used, our gates are shotblasted and sprayed with pure hot zinc, followed immediately by sprayed filler primer and finally finished with a two-pack acrylin urethane paint or powder coated in the client’s choice of colour (standard is Satin black). This process provides a 20-year corrosion protection for industrial and polluted inland sites to BS5493.

We supply traditional Hand-Made wooden gates for manual or automatic operation. Individual gates can be made to customer specification.  All the timber is from managed forests and the gates are put together using properly morticed construction with glued and doweled joints.  A full range of ironmongery is available including everything necessary to hang the gate properly.  Gates are constructed from Iroko (hard wood) or treated softwood.  Standard close boarded infill is 120mm x 20mm TG&V boards set within the gate framed which is framed ledge and braced.

Standard posts are made from Oak and are 150mm or 200mm Square by 2100mm long (or to suit height of gates). Iroko is a top quality hardwood, yellowish brown in colour and similar to teak in its texture and properties.  Makes a superb entrance gate in both looks and durability.  This wood is the most resistant to cracking or splitting.  For hardwood gates and posts we recommend that two coats of clear wood preserver i.e. Sikkens or Danish oil is applied, this will ensure that the gates naturally weather, whilst protecting against attack by fungi.

The softwood gates are made using good quality European or Scandinavian material.  The components are selected, machined and finally treated to ensure that the joints are properly preserved.  Some splitting or cracks may occur, especially in periods of hot weather.  Softwood gates are pressure treated and can be left in their natural state to provide a pleasing natural finish or stained/painted. 

PALISADE
Where security is of the utmost importance, steel palisade will provide the maximum protection from all intruders. Frames are fully welded mild steel, with welded, riveted or bolt on triple splay (spiked) or round nosed pales.  Pale to rail fixings can be specified as either a high tensile anti-vandal rivet in carbon or stainless steel or alternatively a saddle headed bolt with a choice of hexagon nut or high security shear nut dependant on the client's need.

Triple pointed Ultra pales offer a greater aesthetic appearance than standard 'W' pales.  With its unique double 'D' profile front elevation and edges finished with neat Dutch beading, providing further strength along the length of the pale, you can understand why it is classed as the best pale on the market.

The Ultra rail has been developed using cold rolled technology and extensive market research.  Testing resulted in a unique rail that is stronger than existing rails as suggested in BS1722 Part 12:1999.  The Ultra rails are already specified by numerous local authorities and utility companies, it is exceptional in its design and presents a stronger product.
