Automated Swing Gates

Swing gates are a popular choice for most residential properties, and can be powered by gate back operators or underground drives. Once the gates are opened they will remain open for a preset time (variable between 0-120 seconds) and then automatically close provided that all safety devices are clear. Each operator has a special release key to enable manual operation should you experience a power failure.

We also fabricate pedestrian gates to match all our vehicle gates so that pedestrians can enter/exit your property safely with out having to use your vehicle gates.

Timber Gates

We design, supply and install traditional ‘Hand-Made’ wooden gates for manual or automatic operation with individual gates being made to customer specification. Gates are manufactured from various hard woods and all of our wooden gates are constructed with mortised, glued and doweled joints.  Standard close-boarded infill is 120mm x 20mm TG&V boards set within the gate frame, which is framed ledge and braced.

Iroko is a top quality hardwood, yellowish brown in colour and similar to teak in its texture and properties.  This makes a superb entrance gate in both looks and durability.  This wood is used, as it is the most resistant to cracking or splitting. Oak and steel posts are made to suit the gates depending on customer preference. For wood gates and posts we recommend that two coats of clear wood preserver i.e. Sikkens or Danish oil is applied, this will ensure that the gates naturally weather, and are protected against attack by fungi. In addition to clear wood preservers, gates can be stained in a range of colours and finishes.

Steel Gates

Our in house engineers design and produce all of our steel gates to customer specification.

Our Swing Gates are constructed from fully welded mild steel frames and fabricated at our workshop, they come with a variety of infill types and finishes, with the standard being a combination of 16mm and 20mm hollow section and twisted solid bar infill fully welded within the gate frame.

Our Gate Posts are constructed from rectangular hollow section mild steel which are designed to be installed within brick/stone piers or as free standing posts with bolt down base plates.

To prevent corrosion, all of our steel gates are grit blasted and hot zinc sprayed and finished by powder coating with a range of colours to choose from.
