Sliding Gates offer a number of advantages over swing gates and arefast becoming a popular service...
If you have restricted space on your driveway and limited space for a swing gate to open, then maybe a sliding gate may suit your needs. No room is occupied by the swing of the gate and you can park right up to the closed gate. An upward sloping drive creates no problems. A closed sliding gate offers better security against ramming than a pair of swing gates. Only one gate and one operator is required for your system. Frontline Automation provides a range of sliding gate motors and controls for all applications.
Frontline Automation's range of cantilevered gates (available as either automatic or manual) acts as the ultimate deterrent to unwanted visitors. Reassurance is also provided with the aid of the latest safety devices (infra-red beams, roadway loop sensors, safety edges etc.), as these ensure no harm or damage to any vehicle or pedestrian.

Cantilever gates are ideal for security, traffic control or where road surfaces are uneven. The roadway is left free of rails since rollers, which slide in a tubular track fitted to the bottom of the gates, support the gate. The Frontline cantilevered sliding gate requires no overhead support or ground track across the roadway. The geometry of gate wheels and running track naturally keeps the gate in the upright position, however additional stability is given from a nylotron roller, which runs in a steel guide fixed to the top of the gate leaf.
Frontline cantilevered sliding gate is essentially a bespoke product based upon established design features but individually designed and manufactured to suit a specific client's requirement.

There is the widest possible range of infill from steel to wood along with various drive and control options available and indeed Frontline continue to develop new materials and features to ensure the perfect solution to meet a particular need.
Our fully cantilevered gate has no ground track thus leaving the roadway free of rails, since the gate is fully self-supporting and will not topple. Installation is both quick and simple, requiring the bolting down of the motor post and receptor post on to prepared foundations.

The Frontline tracked sliding gate requires a ground track to be installed across the entrance and run-back area. The track has a 'Y' shaped base, which is set into a concrete foundation within the road surface, with 15mm of 'round' left proud of surface. The gate is fitted with wheels that slide on the 'round' part of the track.
