We have a good team of permanent staff that understand Frontline Automation’s ethos and vision. We feel it is very important for us to generate good relationships between our staff and customers.
The last few years have been exciting for us. Our recent growth has enabled the purchase of additional fully equipped vehicles to be added to the fleet, providing a better service for our customers. We have also been involved in the design of our purpose built units that we moved into December 2006. This can only move us forward to even bigger and better things in the future.
We supply bespoke gates to suit individual requirements. Metal gates are manufactured in our workshop and are coated with a long lasting finish. Wooden gates are also available and are manufactured with automation in mind. As well as swing gates, we can provide sliding gates to look like a pair with either metal of wooden infill of your choice.
We supply traditional Hand-Made Gates for manual or automatic operation. Individual gates can be made to customer specification. All the timber is from managed forests and the gates are put together using properly morticed construction with glued and doweled joints. A full range of ironmongery is available including everything necessary to hang gates properly,
Frontline Automation provides a fast, reliable and first-rate call out service for thousands of our customers located throughout the U.K. Servicing and repairing all makes and types of security equipment.
We offer a comprehensive breakdown service ranging from regular maintenance at agreed intervals, to breakdown response times of 4, 12, and 24-hours.

Frontline Automation security systems are made to individual customer requirements, and each of our bespoke designs is developed using the latest Computer Aided Design technology.
Whatever the security requirement we can provide the solution, whether it be customised or from our standard range of products.
All our designs are also available in a choice of styles and finishes, to readily complement your building's décor.
Our aim is to supply and install security systems that are designed to the exact specification and needs of each customer, manufacturing and supplying reliable and quality products.

Planned maintenance is essential to minimise breakdowns requiring urgent service visits, and we believe that regular maintenance is the most important factor in the operational life of all electrical and mechanical equipment as well as giving maximum efficiency and reducing costs. Besides the peace of mind that planned maintenance brings, additional benefits are discounted spare parts and call out/attendance fee.

There have been changes recently to the safety standards employed when designing new gate/door systems. These standards also apply to existing systems. Maintenance inspections now must include force/load tests to a higher degree of accuracy than those previously, and our operatives have now been trained to identify where a system fails to comply with the standards.
Non-compliance may be caused by any of the following examples:
-
Drive motors that have a functional operating force beyond the allowable level where no comprehensive obstruction detection
system exists
- Incomplete detection system (pinch/shear/crush points not protected)
- Detection system complete but not to the category 3 standard
This list is not conclusive.
We are endeavouring to carry out risk assessments during the maintenance visits where possible, or where the design is known, we may be sufficiently confident to identify any required improvement without attending site.
The standards referred to above are as follows:
BS EN 12978 |
Safety devices. Requirements and test methods |
BS EN 13241-1 |
Safety and performance requirements |
BS EN 12445 |
Safety in use of power operated doors. Test methods |
BS EN 12453 |
Safety in use of power operated doors. Requirements |
The Machine Directive |
98/37/EC as amended by Directive 98/79/EC |
We will present a quotation identifying any upgrade work that is highlighted and the associated cost.

Please note that if we carry out a risk assessment and then inform you that improvements are needed, and you subsequently choose not to instruct us to carry out the improvements; you will be negating Frontline Automation from any responsibility should an incident/accident occur.
Should you require further information or clarification, please contact the office and request to speak to a member of the Technical team.

Although we have seen a massive increase in demand over recent years, Frontline Automation remains a friendly, approachable company. We pride ourselves on the personal service given to all our clients, both residential and commercial.

Our annual turnover has steadily increased over the last five years and has been re-invested into the company to ensure we continue to give the high level of service our customers depend upon.
